Ustvathi pantheon

The Ustvathi pantheon is an array of gods and goddesses who are seen to regularly interfere with the lives of mortals. Their worshippers find propitiation in everyday tasks as well as sacrifices, and see their influence everywhere. One peculiarity of Ustvathi worship is that the gods are often blamed for undesirable outcomes, but the stoicism of the Ustvathi means that this blame is cast and then forgotten. A common saying is that “The doings of the gods are as the thunderstorm to the fish.” The meaning is that the unlucky fish might be harmed by lightning, but most will just have more water in which to swim.
